This video is of a young man that you may remember. His name is Ryan White, a simple Indiana boy who had Aids, before any of us knew anything about it. He stood up against all odds to live a normal life, and his resolve is absolutely inspiring. Here is just one of the things I heard him say once on an old talk show:

Like a herd of sheep
Well its that time of year again. The Colts will be playing the Saints on Sunday Feb 7th for the Superbowl championship. More chicken’s FEAR this time of year more than any other time, as there are more chicken wings consumed than anyone could ever imagine (including myself). However it amazes me how people are literally “sucked” into the time warp of the Superbowl or any other sports event. Believe me, I do my share of being “drawn” into it also, but I find it very interesting to watch human nature, and how people are drawn to such a time of intense battle on a football field or basketball court. It’s much like a bar, what makes people so excited to go to such a dark and lonely place? Well, it’s HUMAN connection and community!
The Lord told us in Hebrews 10:25 not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together, as the manner “of some is”.. In 21st century manner, he is saying that we shouldn’t forsake the assembling of ourselves together for worship, for instruction and preaching, and yes finally FELLOWSHIP and community. So, I am not necessarily saying that God commands us to get together, eat chicken wings and watch the Superbowl, but maybe I am???? So long as we don’t forget to put things first and remember not only who it is we serve, but that we serve someone who makes it possible for these men/women on the court to have breath and strength enough to perform in their sport, so we can be entertained..
By the way, just so there is NO confusion here.. THE COLTS ARE GOING TO BE SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s light at the end of winter
Well, I think there must be some light at the end of the tunnel, or shall I say WINTER! It’s 40F today, which is a nice touch. God is moving in a mighty way as he always is, and there is just a glimmer of hope that this cold winter snap will last only 6 more weeks (thanks Phil the groundhog). Well, the Bible tells us to observe the signs of the times, therefore I think it’s proper to say that if there appears to be hope in the natural, how much more is there hope in the SPIRIT? Well, we just came off doing some fasting. I for one fasted a day of SLEEP, which if you know me at all you know that is a big NO NO! However, I did it for God. He has well responded to that sacrifice and I thank God for it.
Buck up under it little buckaroos, the light is just on the horizon, however it’s going to be day soon!
