Praise the Lord!

The times we are living in are increadible. Jesus was totally right on the money in Matthew 24 when He described the world you and I would find ourselves in. The last days are definately here, some would say the last of the last days. The clock is almost 11:59:59 seconds, right before the rapture of His church. Many have thought that the rapture and the second coming are the same event, but I submit the following thoughts today as something to think about:

- The rapture will happen suddenly, the Bible describes it “as in a twinkling of an eye” (I Cor 15:52). It will be sudden and without warning. The second coming however the Bible describes “as lightning shineth from the east to the west every eye shall see Him” (Matt 24:27).

- The rapture will take place at the time the Lord wills, no man knows the time or the hour (Matt 25:13). However the day of the Lord will be announced from heaven before it happens (Rev 19:11, Rev 1:7).

- After the rapture, the antichrist will reign upon his earthly kingdom for seven years (Dan 9:26-27), while after the second coming of Christ he will rule and reign for 1000 years (Rev 20:4)

- During the rapture, Christ will not touch the earth (I Thes 4:17), but when the second coming takes place He will place His foot upon the Mt of Olives and it will split in two, with fresh water coming from the midst. From there He will take a seat in His temple and rule/reign for 1000 years (Zec 14:4).

I think from pointing out these simple truths about both the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus to rule and reign as king it is obvious just by simple deduction that these events must be separate. Finally, it is only possible with scripture to indicate that the rapture takes place BEFORE the second coming because of this fact:

- In the rapture, we shall be caught UP with Him in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air (I Thes 4:17). During the second coming, He comes riding on a white horse and the armies which are in heaven in fine linen, white and clean (Rev 19:8,11-14, Jud 1:14).

So, its very safe to say that if the saints are coming back with Him in fine linen, white and clean, then they would have to be in heaven before that. The only way that would happen is if the rapture takes place.

Pray about what I have presented, think about it also. We are coming to a conclusion in church history. LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, for your redemption draws nigh (Lu 21:28).

This week has been a week of new beginnings. You see the new buds on the trees, and the green grass waking up from a long winter. You see birds flying back north as spring has come upon us. As it gets warmer there is new hope for a better day. Vacations take place, summer parties that focus on the swimming pool and the beach, and county fairs all over the country provide the evening entertainment.

Then there is the condition of our nation that everyone seems to want to talk about. Rage and anger prevail as congressman argue over AIG bonuses and the “quote” economic tragedy we face. As the G20 summit takes place in the European Union this week, I believe that you will see what is to come in our world in the next 4 years. I am not saying that there is a mass conspiracy, but a sense of desensitizing is taking place. Remember it used to be appalling when a girl was on TV and was shown with a bikini on. Now a days, it is so commonplace that its almost sickening. Why the change in such a short time? Our culture is in a state of meltdown not because the people of our great nation have traded in their values, but they have traded in their values at the ballot box and elected politicians that have traded in their values. When you have people within our government suggesting that instead of our laws we should adopt muslum law I have to be quite disturbed! Some of the many people you will see on the TV and at this conference are involved in a global movement that is unbelievable. Imagine a global government in total control and sovereignty of all lands. Imagine a ruler who answers practically to no one in control of your life. In our finances, work, families, everything. This is what we are desensitizing too in the world.

Revelation 13:1-9 says:

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.

Note that power was given to him through his mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies. Power was given to him to persecute Christians during the tribulation period, and power was given him over ALL kindred’s, tongues and nations. This rule is only possible with a global government with the beast at the head of it.

This is coming folks. It is not a figurative of speech, it’s literal prophetic events taking place IN YOUR LIFETIME! Today I challenge you to examine your life. Examine your relationship with God. His son Jesus is the ONLY way, truth and life. No one comes to the father but by him (John 14:6). Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Call upon Him today, believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead by His father, and say with your mouth that he is Lord Jesus in your life. It’s that simple, accept Him as your gift of salvation today and He will change your life forever, and you will be saved in this life and the life to come.

God has been getting on me about “journal” time. In the 1900′s I suppose that a nice journal sitting at the bedside was enough. Well, not anymore. This is 2009, I guess the idea is that everyone reads everyone else’s thoughts. Well, here is my thoughts for today.

Jesus is AWESOME! He came to earth to serve as a prophet to all those who would accept Him. Well, they dispised, rejected Him, a man of sorrows He was. He hung on a tree crucified for you and me (Isaiah 53, John 19). Well, I am glad the story doesn’t end there. He resurrected from the dead, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. He is serving as our priest according to the lineage of Melchizedek (Hebrews 10:11-12; Psalm 110:4). Again, I am so glad the story didn’t stop there. He is coming back on a white horse, riding in with us behind Him to setup His earthly kingdom for 1000 years (Rev 19, Jude 14). What an awesome victory it will be!

What I want to point out to you is this. Jesus fulfilled the offices of the old covenant of a prophet, priest, and king! As the earthly model needed 3 men called of God to fulfill them, Jesus decided He will just be all three for us, once and for all! Men don’t have to go into a temple made of hands to get in touch with Him. All we have to do is lift up our heads and our hands, and say JESUS! His presence is right there, in the midst of your trials and tribulations.

There is much going on in this nation and in the world, however there is NO ONE quite like Jesus! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!!! (Hebrews 13:8). If you don’t know Him today, accept Him. Believe in Him. He is coming soon in the rapture to take His own to be with Him forever. Don’t be LEFT BEHIND. Don’t be left wishing you had made your decision for Christ before it’s too late. There’s never been a better time to accept Him. He died for you, all you have to do is accept such an awesome gift of salvation.
