Explosive Words???

posted by Rousey

Brit Hume, a well respected journalist recently said something that is very interesting:

“If you’re trying to find the two most explosive words in the English language, those two words are ‘Jesus Christ,”

JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! His name is life, His name is explosive in the Spirit against the power of the devil! His name is powerful, miraculous, atoning, redemptive, full of life, health, full of deliverance, more than we can put in words!!! His name is FULL OF TNT!!! In Acts 1:8, Jesus says:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The word POWER in this verse is the greek word dunamis, which means force, specifically miraculous power, ability, abundance, meaning, and might!! Brother, our gracious heavenly Father through our savior Jesus gives you power today to tread upon the power of the enemy, over our flesh, and be more than conquerors in our daily lives!!!

So Brit Hume, you are so right! Jesus Christ is explosive!! Speak His name today!! Speak His wonderful name in the midst of your mess, and watch God deliver you THROUGH the mess. What a testimony He is fashioning on our behalf!

He Has Received Gifts for us!!

posted by Rousey

Today, read Psalm 68:18-19 and think about the goodness of the Lord:

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
(Psa 68:18-19)

Note that the psalmist indicated a specific group of people in the first verse, “for the rebellious also”. God in his infinite love led captivity captive, and received gifts for us even when we didn’t deserve it. We were full of sin, and didn’t know the savior. He knew that in the future we would know Him because of what he did for us here.

With this verse we see a glimpse into the character and nature of God. He is a GOD of SALVATION. His mission and plan is for us to be redeemed back to us in the act of salvation! Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” It’s not enough that we have to clean ourselves up before we come to Him. We only have to accept His gift of salvation. Open up to Him today, and accept His free gifts of salvation, love, and blessings.

Daily Thoughts from God – July 14, 2009

posted by Rousey

Habakkuk 1:5, ” Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.”

God has more in store for us than we could ever believe even if it were told to us! When I read this verse I looked back on some of the things I know if God would have said I would have NEVER believed it. Traveling to foreign nations with the intent of preaching the gospel in places where most people never wanted to go was not exactly on my list, but God has me doing it. Raising two beautiful daughters in the beauty and abnomition of the Lord is also something I didn’t know if I would ever do. Today God has blessed me with both, among other things. My beautiful wife is by my side. So many things to be thankful for in these days of evil in the world. What else could a husband, father, minister, IT guy, all the rest ask for? I WONDER in amazement, as the old hebrew word tamahh (to be amazed, astonished, marvel, wonder) implies here in verse five for marvelously. What a God we serve! He showers us daily with his blessings!

Praise the Lord!

Take a look at our new theme. I love the look, how about you?

God has been getting on me about “journal” time. In the 1900’s I suppose that a nice journal sitting at the bedside was enough. Well, not anymore. This is 2009, I guess the idea is that everyone reads everyone else’s thoughts. Well, here is my thoughts for today.

Jesus is AWESOME! He came to earth to serve as a prophet to all those who would accept Him. Well, they dispised, rejected Him, a man of sorrows He was. He hung on a tree crucified for you and me (Isaiah 53, John 19). Well, I am glad the story doesn’t end there. He resurrected from the dead, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. He is serving as our priest according to the lineage of Melchizedek (Hebrews 10:11-12; Psalm 110:4). Again, I am so glad the story didn’t stop there. He is coming back on a white horse, riding in with us behind Him to setup His earthly kingdom for 1000 years (Rev 19, Jude 14). What an awesome victory it will be!

What I want to point out to you is this. Jesus fulfilled the offices of the old covenant of a prophet, priest, and king! As the earthly model needed 3 men called of God to fulfill them, Jesus decided He will just be all three for us, once and for all! Men don’t have to go into a temple made of hands to get in touch with Him. All we have to do is lift up our heads and our hands, and say JESUS! His presence is right there, in the midst of your trials and tribulations.

There is much going on in this nation and in the world, however there is NO ONE quite like Jesus! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!!! (Hebrews 13:8). If you don’t know Him today, accept Him. Believe in Him. He is coming soon in the rapture to take His own to be with Him forever. Don’t be LEFT BEHIND. Don’t be left wishing you had made your decision for Christ before it’s too late. There’s never been a better time to accept Him. He died for you, all you have to do is accept such an awesome gift of salvation.
